Glossary

Use this reference to decode the words in a ticket’s workflow and working records. It separates the request, the place work runs, and the limits that can ask for a decision.

Ticket and local request

A ticket is work read from a tracker. A local request is work described directly, without requiring a tracker. Both use the approval, build, review and landing workflow.

Room and run

A room is the per-ticket home for readable control records and work. A run identifies an execution whose progress and results the app presents.

Line, row and route

The line is the saved workflow. A row is one stage or driver operation. A route says which row follows a result. A pinned line is the copy accepted for a run.

Family and effort

A family connects a model tool to the driver. Effort is the configured effort choice for that model session.

Gate, cap and ceiling

A gate requires the configured approval before proceeding. A cap limits attempts at a row. A ceiling limits sessions across the line. A grant authorizes additional attempts in response to a pending limit question.

Fold, retest and closeout

Fold revises the plan after its review. Retest is the driver test row used after rebase in the shipped line. Closeout records the landing outcome and performs the configured tracker transition.
